Lightning Round Reviews #29: Beezy-Tarts-A-Palooza!

So, I have been sitting on several Beezy Tarts reviews in my little ol' trusty notebook here, and I figured, why don't I pump 'em all into one post? Image heavy, but oh so good. C'mon and take a looksie!
Beezy-Tarts's Bonfire Bliss
Cold Rating9/10
Lit Rating: 9/10
Throw Rating9/10
Overall Rating9/10; smokey, wonderful, slightly musky, a little gooey ooey, not like Marshmallow Fireside, more mature, if that makes sense. Takes the 'bonfire' part to a whole 'nother level. Excellent!!
Beezy-Tarts's Papaya Dragon Fruit
Cold Rating7/10
Lit Rating: 9/10
Throw Rating8/10
Overall Rating8/10
Beezy-Tarts's Lavendar Apple

Overall Rating7.5/10
Beezy-Tarts's Pink Watermelon
Cold Rating9/10
Lit Rating: 9.5/10
Throw Rating9/10
Overall Rating9/10; not sure if the pink here is pink lime, but it's watermelon plus something else, and it is freaking fantastic. Super juicy, strong and in your face, delicate in a fruity way, just a tremendous melt. Must have more NOW.
Beezy-Tarts's Salt Water Taffy
Cold Rating6/10
Lit Rating: 6/10
Throw Rating6/10
Overall Rating6/10
Beezy-Tarts's Rainbow Sherbet
Cold Rating6/10
Lit Rating: 6.5/10
Throw Rating6.5/10
Overall Rating6.5/10; if you've smelled one sherbet scent, you've sort of smelled them all. Sweet, fruity, creamy, this is a great scent if you're into sherbet. Me? I am 50/50 on it. This is nice, but sort of expected. Nothing too extraordinary. Medium throw everywhere.
Beezy-Tarts's Iced Tea
Cold Rating9/10
Lit Rating: 9.5/10
Throw Rating10/10
Overall Rating9.5/10; as close to perfect as one could hope to get. Lemon, iced tea, a little bit perfumey, but I don't mind. This one is EXCELLENT. Just like the drink. STRONG, ferociously so. Lingered, too. Mmmmm. All of these summer scents!!
Beezy-Tarts's Coconut Bay
Cold Rating8/10
Lit Rating: 8/10
Throw Rating8/10
Overall Rating8/10; you have to LOVE coconut to enjoy this because it's all that's there, but in a good way. Lovely, tropical, like laying on a beach with a pina colada. Smells just like vacation. Strong, but not overwhelmingly so.
Beezy-Tarts's Strawberry Passion
Cold Rating6/10
Lit Rating: 6/10
Throw Rating: 6/10
Overall Rating6/10; I had high expectations for this one since I have friends who loooove it, but I was underwhelmed. Sort of smelled like chapstick. Maybe I got a bad egg?
Beezy-Tarts's Amish Quilt
Cold Rating: 8/10
Lit Rating: 8/10
Throw Rating: 7.5/10
Overall Rating8/10; if you have read my blog for any length of time, you know this is one of my favorite scents. This could have bee stronger, but it was still nice.
Beezy-Tarts's Christmas Past
Cold Rating7.5/10
Lit Rating: 7.5/10
Throw Rating7.5/10
Overall Rating7.5/10
Beezy-Tarts's Home Sweet Home (YC)

Overall Rating7/10
Beezy-Tarts's Mint Lavender
Cold Rating8/10
Lit Rating: 8.5/10
Throw Rating: 8/10
Overall Rating8.5/10; an excellent herbal lavender mixed with fresh mint. Intoxicating at night. A strong melt! Repurchase necessary!
Beezy-Tarts's Passion Fruit & Guava (B&BW)
Cold Rating8/10
Lit Rating: 8/10
Throw Rating8/10
Overall Rating8/10; unexpected greatness. Strong, fruity, in your face in a good way. Lovely mix of tropical scents! Need to track this down from B&BW (at least with Beezy, we know it'll throw, lol!)
Beezy-Tarts's Pomegranate
Cold Rating6.5/10
Lit Rating: 6.5/10
Throw Rating: 6/10
Overall Rating6.5/10; just a fruit scent. Pomegranate smells like a bunch of other things combined into one. Not truly notable, but not awful. Medium all around. Love these little donut samples and his cool photos on his labels.
Beezy-Tarts's Pink Sands (YC)
Cold Rating8/10
Lit Rating: 8.5/10
Throw Rating8/10
Overall Rating8/10; an insanely accurate dupe. Strong as hell. Perfumey, beachy, wonderful. Such an awesome dupe, seriously, TRY THIS!!!

Swift & Supersonically Snappy Short Review #99: Rosegirls Sugar Jasmine

As I type this, tiny little drizzle blobs are falling from the sky. As I type this, I have realized that being a weatherperson is the only job where you can lie professionally and get away with it because the weather said "moderate rain from this morning until tomorrow morning." HA.
Rosegirls' Sugar Jasmine
Cold Rating6/10
Lit Rating: 7/10
Throw Rating: 7/10
Overall Rating7/10; frequently clean, always sweet. An interesting take on jasmine. Good for one warmer, but not ever warmer in the house. Carries and lingers. Not sure if I love love it, you know?? Sort of floral, but also sort of like a laundry detergent scent to my nose. Relatively unique scent, in my opinion. Lovely, delicate petal-like scent. Moderate throw. Wax "brittle" in one scent. Mixing floral with marshmallow, is that weird? One piece at a time. Light pink wax color to match the smell of this scent. Sugar versus sugared jasmine. Jasmine flowers in bloom in the front yard in spring, lush and fragrant and much joy they bring. I'mma poet, didja know it? Needing another custom Rosegirls order SOON because ALL THE MINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Swift & Supersonically Snappy Short Review #98: Rosegirls Christmas Past Cranberry Orange

It's a bit cooler here in San Diego, but no sign of Senor El Nino yet. I will make my own Christmas weather inside!!!
Rosegirls' Christmas Past Cranberry Orange
Cold Rating8.5/10
Lit Rating: 8.5/10
Throw Rating8.5/10
Overall Rating8.5/10; tree, fruit, citrus, a wonderful blend of scents! The citrus is mild compared to the sprucy pine note, but they somehow mix together very well. Reminds me of another scent I have smelled from Rosegirls???? Or am I crazy?? Rather powerful scent. Distributed this between 2 warmers and they both lasted around 5-6 hours. Could have had a touch of spice, in my opinion! Muffin club! wax. Still hate cutting Look at those colors. Christmas essential. El Nino, where are you?

Subscription Box Corner: October 2015's Flicker Box Review!

October saw a "Sweater Weather" themed month from Flicker Box. And gladly! Shall we, then?
The box.
First look after opening the box.
The card displaying the contents of the box. Oh, I noticed they are promoting their Instagram/Twitter name and their hashtag! YAY!
Wood & Wax Co. is a company I heard about through Instagram. I think I have followed them for a while. Their stuff is super pretty, right down to their business card. Look at that thing! The font! I can smell those flowers. So, so, so gorgeous.
The candle came in a nice little drawstring bag.
When I opened this bad boy, I gasped. A WOOD WICK! YESSSSS. I love wood wick candles, even if they don't always work out the best. Autumn Leaves is a 9 ouncer and it smells so nice. I have had some minor problems burning it because of the wick, sometimes it self-extinguishes, and sometimes, the pool isn't even. This is unfortunate because they scent is rather delicate and pretty. Mildly airy and natural. I enjoy this one quite a bit! I still have a little less than half of this candle left!
I don't know if these cards from Big White Yeti are new or if I've just never seen them, but I love 'em. They are tall and thing, sleek and presentable. I have never seen a business care like this. So cool!
This is their 2 ounce Sweater Weather candle and it is gone. In fact, it has been gone for over a week now. I LOVED this scent. And if you're thinking, this candle is tiny, it'll have no throw, well, you'd be incorrect about that. The throw was much better than I expected for such a tiny candle! It was fruity, apples and some sort of mild spice, with an airy feel to it. What a winning combination! I definitely would purchase this again.
I apologize in advance to Uncommon Scents, but I can't review this candle because I gave it to a friend. Pumpkin souffle is definitely not my favorite scent, so I gave it to someone I knew would love it. I am now stalking their site to buy something from this vendor eventually. I love their labeling, though.
Another new to me vendor, Lit & Co Candles! And, another smaller business card. I am loving the cards this time around!!
Cranberry Clove, NOW we're talking! I love the sleek, clean look of this vendor. Nice white wax, one clean wick, sturdy tinted glass jar, lovely labeling, but how did it throw? Well, in a word, GREAT! The cranberry and clove come together to make a wonderful fall aroma. You can smell both the scents combine together for a wonderful and elegant scent that has a solid medium throw each time it is lit. Excellent one! I have burned about 1/3 of this candle and have had great results!

Random Picture Post: Non-Waxy Photos From the Last Few Weeks #15!

We watch a lot of movies and sometimes TV in this house, and sometimes, I come across freeze frames and shots of the screen too good to pass up.
Current mood. LOOK at that haircape. I used this photo 2 posts ago and am still in awe of it. I should make it my phone background.
Current mood. My BB Ron Perlman lookin' fresh.
Current mood. The face I make when Starbucks says they are out of eggnog for their eggnog lattes. YOU HAD ONE JOB. Also, how I felt when I almost choked on a large piece of red plastic that was in my iced salted caramel mocha. YOU HAD TWO JOBS.
Current mood. When Josh said he wouldn't take me to the Backstreet Boys/Spice Girls tour. James Corden is my spirit animal.
Current mood. It would appear so.
Current mood. Big Boo was my failed attempt at a Halloween costume. It's especially bad when your friends make you feel bad about your costume.
