Swift & Supersonically Snappy Short Review #103: Glitterati's Mac Apple Cranberry Woods Vanilla Bean Noel

What a looooooooooooooong scent name! Good lord!
Glitterati Candle Company's Mac Apple Cranberry Woods VBN
Cold Rating: 7/10
Lit Rating: 8/10
Throw Rating7.5/10
Overall Rating7.5/10; an intriguing blend of scents. The apple is the strongest, crisp and fresh, but right behind it is the intense woodsy odor mingling with sweet cranberry. The vanilla mellows it all together to make a wonderful fall and winter blend. This tiny tart threw better than some full size tarts I have melted. Same problems as before, wanting to order but can't, insanely long waiting periods, worth the wait??? Gotta be quick about getting on a list!! Loving this small sample size, especially when it throws this brilliant. Lasted 8 hours in the bathroom, perfect for a gloomy day. Conjuring up ideas for next year's Thanksgiving and Christmas day scents.

Swift & Supersonically Snappy Short Review #102: Glitterati's Cucumber Mint

Do you ever want your house to feel like a cleaning factory? I do. Is that weird? Sometimes you just need to make it smell clean...like, the cleaner, the better.
The Glitterati Candle Company's Cucumber Mint
Cold Rating8/10
Lit Rating9/10
Throw Rating10/10
Overall Rating9/10; One of the most boss cucumber scents I have ever smelled. So fresh, extremely minty, made for a wonderful cleaning day scent. Growing scent preferences as I get older?Keeping up in the little cup even since June 2015. Straight cucumber and mint, no more, no less. Referencing Star Wars prequels makes me hate myself. Green wax makes it looks like I'm melting nothing in my green warmer. Lasted 11+ hours in the bathroom warmer, and I even closed the windows to savor the last vapors of fumes. Loving Glitterati's wax, hating insane waiting periods for wax in the form of custom list sign up only and flash sales along the way. Worth the wait????? Well, not when you're itching to order!!

Band of Bloggers: Vol. 3 / March 2016

Welcome to the third edition of the Band of Bloggers. March is upon us and visions of spring lull us out of the winter doldrums. This month's topic sprung forth from a conversation with Deb and reading Michelle's blog post recently about Tea & Cakes being a scent trend.

What scent trends have you noticed or have you fallen into so far this year? What do you predict being some trending scents? Scent trends can be in wax, candles, perfume, and/or body care.
I feel like evvvvvverywhere I look this year, Pink Stiletto is a huge scent trend between vendors. I personally don't know what's in it, but it seems like it's everywhere. As for me, I have stayed in the same peppermint/minty scent trend I'm always in, I can't get enough of 'em! I'm super boring when it comes to scents and trends now, I only buy what I know I like or something in the general vicinity of what I think I'll like. I've wasted too much money buying stuff I've either hated or thrown away because it was stinky. As far as scent trends in body care, I have seen a lot of bakery scents making their way into popularity. Breads, cakes, sweets, the whole nine. Personally, I don't feel like smelling like a donut, I'll let my house take care of that! :P

We would love to hear from you!
