KB Shimmer's 24 Carrot Bold. I got so many compliments and comments on this color! I love these bright shades because they are really fun for summer!
KB Shimmer's Blinded By The Bright. Stunningly yellow, and they are right, VERY bright. I didn't get as much glitter in this manicure as I wanted, but that's okay!
I painted my mom's fingernails. Not too shabby!
Nail Mail the the other day! (Well 2/3)
- OPI's Save Me: An AMAZING glitter! The pieces are in thin bar shapes; the colors range from green to blue to pink...LOVE this, can't wait to use it!
- Essie's The More The Merrier: I didn't know when I bought this at Target that it's a 2013 Summer shade...absolutely incredible bright green!
- OPI's You're Such a Budapest: a lighter purple, sort of periwinkle even. I just love this shade, it's so pretty!
OPI's My Significant Other Color is the base color on my nails, and Essie's To Buy Or Not To Buy serves as the dots. I have this on right now and love the combo! It's subtle enough to be good for any occasion. Again, another manicure I've had tons of compliments on!
I have been having tons of fun doing my nails all the time, and we even built and finished a homemade polish rack that's in the office (I will have to take a photo when it's not so gloomy outside)!
Currently, I am trying OPI's Nail Envy as my base coat because they are brittle and chip often (even from opening simply packages). It's been about 3 weeks and while they have gotten a bit thicker, I don't know if it has done as much as I thought it would.
Do you have any tips for beginners (I feel like I have asked this before but don't remember)? What polishes are you loving for summer?
I have no tips because I'm a beginner myself. I always *want* to do my nails but because I can't have polish on at work I don't bother. I have played around once in a while on my days off though ... and I do have that new bottle from Influenster ... so maybe tomorrow ...

Did you ever try your bottle of polish today? :)
DeleteNo, I did not and you were supposed to forget I mentioned that. LOL
DeleteMy next days off are Tuesday/Wednesday so I will try to maybe force myself to consider doing it then.

Ok nail people...does humidity affect application??? I tried twice this morning, tried to go ahead and use my pink polish I got from Influenster, tried because I told Lauren I would, and omg it is just a sticky, globby mess! Maybe it's this brand? I mean, I'm by no means an expert but I've never been this bad before when I've amateurishly applied other polishes. So it's the humidity or the brand. UGH.

It might just be the polish's formula that is gloopy and gross. I don't think it's humidity or you!
DeleteOh nail polish, my other love other than wax! My poor nail blog gas been so neglected lately :( right now I'm wearing Chanel June & loving it! Pretty much anything coral/orange/hot pink has my heart right now. As for tips? Lush Lemony flutter, seche vite or China Glaze Fast Forward,& make sure you keep your hands hydrated! =) loved this post!!!!
ReplyDeleteI know you love the polish, a few of you gals do, so I figured I'd put the occasional post up about my new-found love! I just looked up that June color and love it! Nice! I've been looking for a good coral color, too.
DeleteI use Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Cream, is that the same as lemony flutter? I have actually never been to Lush! What sort of lotion do you use for your hands?
OPI you're such a budapest --gimme! I love the color on your mom's nails --loving pinks and nudes right now!
ReplyDeleteWanna borrow it? ;)
DeleteI think the pink was from Color Club! The formula was terrible and gloopy, though. What shades are you loving now?
What shade names from what brands?* ;)
