Do you remember me?? Lolo, that one gal who rambles on and on about wax tarts? HI!!! :)
How have you all been?! I know that a few of you are friends with me on Facebook, so we keep in touch there, so I will briefly recap the past month or so.

Like I mentioned (umpteen times to some of you), we had the flu. Well, it has come and gone, except for a pesky and never-ending cough/hoarse voice that I developed after my fever broke.
Christmas was really lovely. Most of our families were there, and we had a really fun time.

I hope you all had a splendid Christmas and New Years (I don't remember much of our New Year's eve...let's just say there was a lot of alcohol and shenanigans involved, LOL).
Before I get into my reviews again, I must admit something to you all.
It's probably not hard to tell since I've been gone for virtually an entire month, but I had a (brief) moment where I didn't think I would continue this blog. I don't know what to tell you about this, friends, except the honest truth...
It could be because the wax community has changed so much in the past 2 years (sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, in my opinion), or it could be because people just aren't reading things online like they used to, or it could be because I'm not buying as much as I did (granted, I am still buying here and there, but mainly just melting like a fiend)...
...ultimately, I decided that I was being an idiot because I LOVE blogging! I love writing my reviews and thoughts for others to read. I love reading YOUR blogs and commenting on your thoughts...I just sort of lost my way a little bit.
It's hard to know when people are misconstruing your words because you're reading this and I am typing it. If I mean something one way, you might interpret it a different way, and that's fine and dandy, but I don't ever want to offend anyone, buyer, vendor, passer-by-er...that is never my intention.
My intention is to give my honest feedback, my true thoughts, and hopefully, help you decide if you want to buy from a vendor or not. What I like isn't necessarily what you like, and my experiences aren't necessarily yours, but if you like reading about wax and take my words with a grain of salt, then it's all good!
Anywho, bottom line is you're stuck with me, so you might as well get used to it. ;)
Love to you all, thanks for reading, sorry for my lack of posts and comments on your blogs, but I AM BACK, friends. And thanks for being the wonderful people you are. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Lynda, I am glad to be back and feeling rejuvenated! <3
DeleteYay!!! Missed reading your reviews and life style posts :/) I love your writing and wit! So glad you decided to keep on. And even more glad you feel better!!
ReplyDeleteThanks as always for reading, Julie! I am glad I decided to keep on keepin' on! <3
DeleteHappy you decided to continue.
ReplyDeleteGlad to be back! Thanks, Yasmine! <3
DeleteYour blog has given me so many laughs, insights and valuable nuggets of information. I would be lost with it. So glad you're here to stay. <3
ReplyDeleteI really didn't know how to say I was feeling like quitting, which is why I didn't say anything...I am so glad I decided to stay. You're the best! <3
DeleteGlad you decided to give it another try. I think all bloggers have times of 'What's the point?' Maybe keep posting a mix of things and not stick just to wax? I'm STILL wondering about my own blog.
ReplyDeleteNow get melting!
~Deb
Yeah, it's the ebbs and flows of blogging...we all feel that way sometimes! Thanks friend, it really makes me glad that you all enjoy reading! <3
DeleteLaurreeennn!! :D I'm happy you are back!! I admit, I had a long hiatus too, but it was just out of laziness. Welcome back girl, and keep em' coming! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you, my friend! Sometimes we just need a hiatus, you know, clear our heads! I am glad you're back from yours. <3
DeleteYaaaay, so glad you are back!
ReplyDeleteSame here! Thank you! <3
DeletePlease continue to give honest reviews! I think it is sad when you can't even give your own opinion for fear that someone might be offended. Seriously, zip up your big girl jacket and get on with it. I get tired of the FB groups and what sometimes goes on in there, but I suck it up and go forward because wax is a hobby for me and I enjoy it! And I enjoy reading your blog - so keep it up missy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. I totally know what you mean, there's a very fine line between saying what you want/know to be true, and offending people. But I agree with you, people need to just suck it up, because not everything is perfect when it comes to wax. It should be fun and enjoyable. I'm glad you like reading my blog, thanks a lot. <3
DeleteYay Lauren I am so glad you are back! I know exactly what you mean, I took a bit of (okay, kind of a long one) a blogging break too because it was honestly exhausting. Sometimes people take what we say on here so seriously, when really, the whole point of this hobby is to have fun! I am glad you have decided to continue because I truly enjoy reading everything you have to say! Keep on keepin on girly <3
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jacqui! It does get exhausting when we can't even be honest...don't vendors and customers want to see constructive criticism in order to make themselves better? I don't know, but I'll keep putting it out there for as long as I can, and I hope you stick around, too. It is a hobby, just something for fun. <3
DeleteI love all of your blogs!! I have been checking all of yours frequently for new messages. I love your honest opinions and really enjoy the reviews and pictures.
ReplyDeleteYay! I am glad you're back!
