Overall Rating: 8.5/10; tree, fruit, citrus, a wonderful blend of scents! The citrus is mild compared to the sprucy pine note, but they somehow mix together very well. Reminds me of another scent I have smelled from Rosegirls???? Or am I crazy?? Rather powerful scent. Distributed this between 2 warmers and they both lasted around 5-6 hours. Could have had a touch of spice, in my opinion! Muffin club! wax. Still hate cutting Look at those colors. Christmas essential. El Nino, where are you?

Wickless Wednesday: Our Christmas Decorations!

This post has been a long time comin', folks.
We have had our Christmas decorations up since Thanksgiving.
I have been dying to share them with you, but haven't found the time. Well, here they are! These are our Christmas decorations, inside and out (and a pretty big post!), so I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

I will start with the kitchen. We have this adorable 3-wick candle holder on the island in our kitchen with a festive candle inside (I think it's Spiced Cider now, but I switch them all the time). I love the way this fits into any Christmas theme, modern or classic!

We have had this table cloth since we've been living together, so almost 5 years. We have this one, which is more whimsical, and another that my grandma gave us as a gift, which is more classy. Gotta love tablecloths!

A new purchase for us this year, kissing snowman salt and pepper shakers! Aren't these cute?! I saw them on Amazon and we just had to buy them. I think they were only about $10! You can buy them here (though they cost a bit more now).

Josh bought the items seen here (a stick of pine cones, a stick of red berries, some artificial snow, and a strand of small Christmas lights) and put together this really nice looking Christmas berry vase! The first photo is without the lights, the second photo has the lights on! We put this on our little corner stand in the kitchen for cool Christmasy decoration.

We bought this shatterproof wreath from Target to throw up on the garage door in the kitchen. It might not be typical Christmas colors, but it really ties the room together. We've had lots of compliments on this, too! You can buy this here.

Finally, we have these insanely cute chair covers featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus' faces. AGGHHHH!! They are purely decorative, like most of these things, but TELL ME you hate them, I dare you!

Moving on to the living room! This is what we've got on our front door, on the inside. No, Freddo, it's not a toy. Simple, yet fun!

Josh had the brilliant idea to wrap our already existing movie posters to make them look like presents! HOW CREATIVE! It was such a good idea, and again, we've gotten tons of compliments on these. All of the wrapping is movie themed, of course. ;)

Our stockings, mine, Freddo's, and Josh's! We have a couple things on the mantle, our stocking holders, the snowman candle holders I featured in my Bath & Body Works haul a couple weeks ago, and a really cool sparkly and feathery owl Josh got me from Target.

The tree in all its glory! We got a noble fir for the first time ever, AND IT IS FREAKING HUGE. I'm telling you, we barely have any room for our furniture. As you can see, our new Christmas tree topper is YODA! YAY!!!

Here it is all lit! I love the way it looks this year!

And now, the outside decorations! We wanted a wreath for the front door, and since gold is my favorite color and nothing in the house is really gold, we got this. LOVE!

It has always been a dream of mine to wrap the garage with a big, huge bow, AND WE DID IT this year! It came out so neat looking! It looks like a gigantic present! Very fun!

When we lived at our condo, we had this lantern, but it never worked. Well, it works here! It's solar powered and quite festive. Hangs perfectly right outside the door.

We got these LED Christmas bulbs for our stairway. They change from white to color, and are pretty damn bright! We just switched out our normal walkway lights for these!

THE LIGHTS! When Josh's mom was alive, we always wrapped these poles for her to look like candy canes. They are perfect for that, huh!? They came out awesome along with the icicle lights. It just looks stunning, if I do say so myself.

You can sort of see the office window from here, they are in mid blink. We have them on the SPAZZY setting...okay, not really, but THEY GO FAST!

Our main attraction, THE SNOWMAN! YAY! Well, we put him out, and the next morning, I thought....."hey, honey, doesn't it look like the snowman if flipping people off???" AMIRITE??? I've had some friends tell me they thought the same, LOL! Purely unintentional by us! Anywho, this little guy is SO FREAKING SPARKLY it's insane. I just love it!

Wickless Wednesday: Final Halloween Decorations!

As you know, Halloween has come and gone. I shared our decorations with you a few weeks ago, but wanted to show you the extras we added along the way (things that couldn't be added until Halloween day).

Every person who came to our door said they loved our decorations, and we were extremely happy with how the night turned out (as far as the amount of trick-or-treaters we got), so I thought you all might appreciate seeing the final product, too! Follow me!

Here's our police murder scene, even though it sounds terrible to be saying that, lol. We laid down a tarp of plastic bags, added vampire blood and severed fingers, then put up the little number scenes. It looked REALLY awesome, especially behind the caution tape.

THE GARAGE ZOMBIE!!! I had no idea Josh had purchased a severed arm, too, which made the effect even cooler. Also, this was attached to our fog machine, so it looked like the zombie was breathing smoke. I didn't get a video, but here's this ugly dude.

Pumpkins and the zombie! Also, do you see our man in the top right corner? We took "Bob," Josh's training dummy, and put him in my Walter White hazmat suit, complete with respirator, and stuck him behind the bushes. People were freaked the hell out, and it even scared me at first, too, LOL!!

And his creepy cyclops pumpkin! The fangs fell out, so we had to use toothpicks to hold them up again. You can't tell from far away. ;)

BONUS PHOTO! I have a friend who always makes very cool, very elaborate Halloween costumes from scratch. This year, he went as a homemade minion, and I think it looks AMAZING!! He won the most creative costume award at the Halloween party. Cool, huh?! (PS: I only stamped this photo so people wouldn't steal it, I have the unstamped version on my PC. Power, if you want me to take it down, let me know)

Wickless Wednesday: Our Halloween Decorations!

Halloween is upon us, friends!
Who says you can't decorate early for this occasion?!

In our old place, we very rarely got trick-or-treaters, even if we decorated. Hopefully, since there are kids on our new street, we might get to pass out some candies!

Anywho, I wanted to share our decorations with you. We sort of went all-out this year! I'll start with the outside!

So, I had this genius idea to cover the garage in caution tape. On Halloween night, we're going to have a strobe light going in there so it looks like a flashing horror house. We're also going to have our fog machine going, with this wicked zombie attachment that we bought; it's going to look like the zombie's mouth is oozing fog. SO COOL.

The tree right outside the office was the perfect place to put our newly purchased tombstones, complete with creepy zombie girl floating in the trees above it, of course. Every time I tried to take a picture, she turned around. Trust me, it's better this way, she's awful looking, LOL.

The skeleton hanging thing to the left makes noise and cackles when you walk past it. IT'S HORRIBLE and we love it! We also covered the bushes in spider webs!

Josh and I made this spider egg sack years ago and it still holds up today. We used a stocking, a Styrofoam ball, plastic spiders, and cobwebs. It looks really cool in the corner of the front patio.

I like to "feature" candles on these little pedestals according to the season. Well, for fall, I picked Applewood Bonfire. It smells delicious, like apple and smoldering logs.

I've had this Yankee Candle votive holder for about 3 years. It's cutesy, but I love it. Very acceptable through Thanksgiving, I think.

SKULL!!!

My grandma just gave Josh and I this Halloween "Christmas" tree as a housewarming gift, complete with ornaments and glitters! It's so adorable, and it fits perfectly right in the middle of the mantle.

She also gave us this glittery picture frame. We're going to take a photo of us in our Halloween costumes and put it in there after we attend our friend's Halloween party.

Cauldron!

This is a mini candle holder from Bath & Body Works I bought about two years ago. Love the cat!

The other candle I am "featuring" for fall is Cinnamon & Clove Buds. This one is classic fall, in my opinion.

Finally on the mantle, Josh found this cool color changing skeleton candle at Party City. It runs on a battery and is super awesome. We turn it on at night and it puts off a good amount of light.

Lastly, my grandma gave us this vase filler with pumpkins and leaves and berries. It's another one of those things we can keep out through Thanksgiving! I love the way it looks on our coffee table!
