Haul: Supertarts Haul #1!

Super Tarts has always been on my "list of vendors I want to order from," and though I won an auction from Brandy a long time ago, my experience was 50/50. Great wax, but there's definitely a wait. Brandy herself is really, really nice, but she was so bogged down with orders at the time, I think she forgot about the auction winnings and I waited quite a while to get what I won. She did make up for it with a humongous extra, but I'm just saying, she can get a lot of orders!

I placed an order on a whim while in a doctor's office waiting room a few months back because what better time????? LOL. Her stuff gets rave reviews from fans, and her blends are so. damn. interesting., I basically had to order. Now, remember, this is a few months old, so some of this has been melted, and I will try to mention if it has been and how it performed!
Her freaking awesome business card. Her scent lines are comic book, TV, movie, music, geeky-types of themes, which I love and am down with 100%, though I have always wondered (as a random sidebar), can a vendor get in trouble for using the likeness of another "thing" such a a movie or brand? I've noticed some vendors misspell LUSH in a L*SH type of way, I think in order to save their behinds from lawsuits? Regardless, Brandy's was themes are some of the best in the business. Clever, creative, and very cool!
She sent along this piece of paper with the scent descriptions of all the items in his particular restock. OMG, Do you know what a great idea this is?! Vendors, PLEASE do this more often!! It's not that I'm lazy, but it's a royal pain in our asses to go back and forth and back and forth trying to figure out what's in a scent! Anywho, onward with my haul!
Passion fruit + Jaws (sea salt, fresh air, sea grass, sliced plum, sweet pear)
-Skinny Dipping: Jaws is one of Brandy's most talked about scents on the Facebook wax groups. Jaws is a really fresh blend of fruit and nature, and when mixed with passion fruit here, I can see why it's a top seller. YUM! This is such a nice scent. Calming, almost!
Pink sugar blended with out sweet lavender cream
-Go To Sleep (2): Pink sugar lavender? C'mon, y'all know me. I had to get 2. I like this, but the sweet lavender cream should be taken literally. It does smell slightly of cream, almost lotiony. This is a good nighttime blend and I am almost done with me 2 clamshells.
Pomegranate, fresh apple cider and toasted marshmallows
-The Lost Boys: Doesn't this sound like it was blended for me? LOL. Look at that cute coffin stamp embed (cute coffin? Said no one ever???). I haven't melted this one yet as I am waiting for fall, but it smells wonderful on cold sniff. Not sure I get marshmallow, but there is a hefty dose of sweetness in this.
Magically delicious, warm sugar cookies dusted with sweet cinnamon sugar
-Snape: Another fan favorite. I don't like it. Marshmallow, yes, but cereal and cookies? Not for me. There is mostly cereal sweetness in this, bakery plus some more sugar. I knew when I was ordering I wouldn't like this, and got it anyway. Others will go ga-ga over it because of what's in it.
Zesty grapefruit & pink sugar crystals
-Finn & Jake: ADVENTURE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like this one, but I feel as if I have smelled it before. Grapefruit has a way of smelling pungent, and it's nice here, but this scent....I cannot place it. I have definitely smelled it in my scent-travels. Just can't pinpoint it. Anyways, this one is nice.
Magically delicious + creamy orange sherbet
-Ron: I'm a sucker for orange/orange sherbet scents, and I was hoping it would overpower the magically delicious. It's strong than the cereal scent, sure, but it's still lingering in the background. I like this one a lot more than I liked Snape. Pretty good, we'll see how it performs when melting!
Peachy coconut smoothie, cotton candy, seaside
-90210: This scent screams 90210. Fruity, coconutty, peachy sweet explosion with a bit of a sea-type of note. I like this one a lot and have melted it completely with a strong throw each time. Very lovely, a definite repurchase!
Pomegranate, mac apple, sweet lolli
-Twilights: Bella's Blood: As I expected, the mac apple overpowers everything in this blend, and it doesn't matter to me one bit that it does. I love mac apple, the crispness, the freshness, the mildy alluring aroma of apples....mmmm, so good. Sweet lolli provides a sugary background for this, and I don't know if it's a mix of the pomegranate and the apple, but I get something else there, too. Maybe it's the way all 3 of these bad boys melange together. Real good, but only for true apple lovers. It's strong!
Fresh picked strawberries and cotton candy frosting
-Elektra: A popular blend at this moments in the wax community! Cotton candy frosting seems to have exploded in popularity within the last year for its gooey sweetness and its versatility in blending. This one is alright, not my favorite of the bunch, it's just sort of 'there.' Nothing special about it, but it's not bad in any way. I will report back on this one.
Eucalyptus + Vickies
-Just Breathe: Josh has been having some sinus troubles as of late, so I got this with him in mind. I haven't melted it just yet, since he has to be in the right mood for a eucalyptus scent and sometimes, it can come off as very soapy and gross to his nose. This one is INSANELY strong and very pungent on cold sniff, so I will also report back on it, too.

***One other thing I wanted to mention was most of these had to be repackaged (RIP, lovely clamshell packaging) because they had a skunky smell to the clamshells, not an overly offensive one, but one bigstong enough for me to notice. Not a huge deal, and I know some vendors are quick to jump on the offensive, stating that no lingering smells actually transfer into the wax once you're melting it, but Sweet Jasmine Vine from another vendor and I are gonna have to disagree with them on this front. I have read this before and left the wax in clamshells only to return to Skunk. City., melted and unmelted. Just to be safe, I repackaged these, I'd hate to spend over $50 from a vendor and have a mound of unusable wax at the end of it all. C'mon, better to be safe than sorry.***

Anyways, that's my haul! Do you like Super Tarts? Have you ever been compelled to order from her? What sounds good to you?

Haul: Glitterati Candle Company Custom Order Haul!

In June (!!!), I ordered from Glitterati Candle Co. for the first time. Their wax came highly recommended by many fans and friends, so I will share my haul, even though it's massively overdue. Starting with the samples!
-Lovespells & Lemon Drops: I have this melting in the bathroom right now and it's incredible! The lovespells is a straight perfume dupe of the Victoria's Secret scent from my youth. WOW. And the lemon adds a nice zestiness. I just LOVE this. And, one little cube is super strong. Yes!
-Violet & Birch: another scent that has never been on my radar, violets are sort of sweet, aren't they? This is okay, not my favorite scent, but it's nice. I have a feeling it may develop a bit more when warming, become stronger.
-Mac Apple Cranberry Woods VBN: what a mouthful, lol! Brilliant scent, truly. Mac apple is my favorite apple, and when mixed with creamy VBN and earthy, damp and sweet cranberry woods? ERMAHGERD. Incredible! Big bag worth! A blend to remember in the future.
-White Tea & Pomegranate: isn't white tea a more floral scent on its own? I have always seen "white tea" and have run away from it, but this is really lovely. Sweet, fruity, slightly floral, I think I am a white tea fan!
-Citrus Herb Cocktail: veeeeerry herby. Not sure I love this one. It smells strong on cold sniff, but the scent beyond the citrus just isn't for me.
-Iced Tea Mango Sage: a really nice balance of sage and mango with some minor floral notes underneath it all! Not my typical type of scent but I really like this!
I also got 3 Bite Bags, which includes 12-18 individual, easy-to-use tarts totaling 10 ounces for $10.

-Pink Marshmallow Fireside: AMAZING. I believe this was recommended to my by Julie from The Redolent Mermaid, and if she did, kudos to her suggestion. Wow, this is wonderful! You have to be a fan of Marshmallow Fireside's smokiness to like this, and if you do, you'll be hooked. Can't wait to melt this!
-Pink Peppermint: ...what? You think I'd order from a new company and not try their pink peppermint? ;) I have also heard raves about Glitterati's pink peppermint being extra strong, so I couldn't pass up a couplea bags. It definitely has a nice throw, but I have noticed her wax doesn't always last as long as other wax might.
I also got a couple chunks, which are $2.50 a piece and individually bagged and a maximum of 50 different chunks per order. There is also no minimum, so you can get individual chunks of your own blends, as well as pre-made blends. I like that Glitterati offers customers to get one chunk of any blend, but I also see a problem when people can order up to 50 of any blend they want. This alone probably adds a lot to her TAT, but it's great for people like me who want to try out blends and are too afraid to jump right into a big bag. Most of these chunks are big enough to cut into two, perhaps even 3 different melts! Anyways, let's look at these chunkies!

-Pink Sugar Toasted Marshmallow: a must for me, honestly. I love this scent, so I wanted to smell what Glitterati's was like. It's great! The pink is a background note compared to the toasted marshmallow, but I don't mind at all. It smells so good.
Rebel Yell: Sangria White Peach/Watermelon/Cotton Candy
-Rebel Yell: white peach to me sounds like something with a floral undertone, but I couldn't pass up an alluring blend of watermelon and cotton candy. This is wonderful! A fruity, 80's explosion. It needs to be cut up, though, because this chunk is huge.
Purple Rain: Black Rasp. Vanilla, Chardonnay
-Purple Rain: another fan favorite, if I'm not mistaken. This smells lovely! Chardonnay scents and wine scents in general aren't always my favorite, but when mixed with black raspberry vanilla, ohhhh boy. Again, another one that'll need to be cut.
Amish Kitchen: Vanilla, cinnamon, clove, allspice, sugar, nutmeg, bakery and fruits
-Amish Kitchen: fruits? Not to much. Spice? HELL YES. This is right up my alley and I have done my darnedest to save it until fall. So, so good. It smells like spice heaven!
-Pink Rosemary Peppermint: As many of you might know, I love peppermint scents. Recently, I discovered a rosemary peppermint scent from another vendor, but instead of spearmint this time, I added pink sugar because, well, it's me. I like this, but the rosemary is definitely center stage. Herbaceous, peppermint, and slightly musky, this is a must have for mint fans.
I also grabbed a few scent shots, which are 1.5 ounces for $1.75 a piece and a maximum of 50 different shots per order. Love this starry bag!
Here's what they are:

-Cucumber Mint: a friend of mine has raved about this scent in the past, and until now, I have never been serious about it. Believe the hype, fresh fans! This is SO good. Clean, unmistakable cucumber and cool, refreshing mint makes for one amazing blend. This is strong, too. Delish and fresh to death.

-Holiday: Holiday, like, the Madonna song, not like Christmas. Toasted Coconut, Orange Soda, and Cotton Candy mix for an interesting blend that sort of smells like something you'd eat at a fan. Sugar coated orange sweetness with wisps of coconut.

-Strawberry Cream Lemon Meringue: I took a chance on this one, hoping it wouldn't be too crusty from the meringue part, but it is. Sure, the other notes are there, but for some reason, all I smell is crust. Meh. Maybe it will be a nice melange when melting!

That's my haul, everyone! Anything stand out as a favorite to you? What should I melt first? Have you ordered from Glitterati? Any favs or must-haves for next time?

Haul: Bath & Body Works Collective June and July Hauls!

I got a gift card to Bath & Body Works from my grandma for my birthday in May and I finally got around to using it all up. Let me show you what I grabbed during their semi-annual sale, and a few things in July, too!
I snagged one of these little 1.3 oz candles in Oahu Coconut Sunset because I was trying to finish up the gift card and it was relatively cheap. It smells awesome! If this doesn't throw well, I will remove it and put it in one of my wax warmers.
Vanilla Bean Marshmallow has been highly acclaimed in the wax/bath and body community, so I knew when this was about $5, I wanted to grab one! A single wick mason jarish candle, this smells ooey and gooey and sweet. I am saving this until fall.
These fragrance mists were returning popular fragrances from waaaay back when. Cucumber Melon was my favorite scent growing up because I am a crazy old person, but I had never tried the other 3 scents, so I grabbed them all. Plumeria is a nice, light floral scent, and Pearberry is a light fruity scent, but I don't like Juniper Breeze. I wonder if anyone else wants this, I think it's too late to take it back.
Bath & Body Works' Scentportables are my go-to car-scenting products, so I snagged an Island Margarita. Powerful and limey, I need to switch the one in my car to this one because the one I have in there is gross.
Hawaiian Hibiscus is a scent I had no prior knowledge of when purchasing it, it just had good ratings on the B&BW website. It's a winner! Very floral, but slightly tropical, a bit smooth and just like Hawaii. This is probably what Hawaii smells like. Sunnee, will you confirm? :)
Ocean Side used to be a true, realistic ocean spray scent. It doesn't smell like that anymore, it smells like a douchebag's cologne. Sorry to be so blunt, but YUCK. YOU know the smell. Come on, you know it. Well, that's what this smells like. I am determined to change my mind about this. It smells more like cologney fake sea smell. Bleh.
Caribbean Escape I haven't used yet, but may get to eventually. I may want to save this one in case I need a quickie Christmas gift or something!
Tiki Beach, a couple of years ago, was such an amaaaaazing candle. It threw ridiculously, pooled out like a champ, and had wicks that burned and burned and burned. Wow. I was excited to smell just how strong this was, even in air spray form. Coconut and suntan lotion mix together for a true beachy experience. I have this in our spare bathroom and spray it in the hallways every once in a while.
We have Island Margarita in our back bedroom / bathroom right now. It smells so good! I will keep my eye out for this one. It might be small, but it packs a punch! It does smell like a fresh margarita and squeezed lime with a bit of tropical undertones. Nice!
A comparison between the large and small room fragrances.
My second haul was from July. I got a tip from @TheBronzeBlogger (aka Real Talk about Bath and Body Works Candles) that the candle Amsterdam (Tulips & Windmills) is a dupe for my beloved, much missed, highly sought after Flower Shop, aka my favorite candle from Bath & Body Works before London Calling came about. WELL, IT IS A DUPE!!!! OMG. You cannot imagine how happy I was to get this and compare them! I have a 4 ounce Flower Shop left for this purpose exactly, and it. is. a. dupe. UGH I AM SO HAPPY I AM IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION. I bought 2 of these. Well, Josh bought 2 of these for me. :)

There's my collective haul from B&BW! Have you bought anything from them lately? Looking forward to fall scents (SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)??
