Swift & Supersonically Snappy Short Review #49: Butterfly Lane Fall Extravaganza!

Since fall is almost over (well, sort of), I figured I'd better get some fall scented/themed/feeling reviews out to the masses! While looking through my photos, I noticed I had a lot of Butterfly Lane Scents to review, many of which were fall tarts, so that's what I am bringing to you today. Enjoy, fellow smelly good lovers!
(No scent description available)
Butterfly Lane's Apple Butter
Cold Rating8/10
Lit Rating: 8/10
Throw Rating: 7.5/10
Overall Rating: 8/10; love this one!
Apple Noel: Apple + vanilla bean noel
Butterfly Lane's Apple Noel
Cold Rating6/10
Lit Rating: 6/10
Throw Rating6/10
Overall Rating6/10; really nothing special here, just an extra vanilla-y apple scent.
Buttercream Crunch - A sweet, buttery vanilla loaded with caramel and toffee and splash of crunchy nut.
Butterfly Lane's Buttercream Crunch
Cold Rating7/10
Lit Rating: 7/10
Throw Rating7/10
Overall Rating7/10; not really fall, but including it anyways. Nice and sweet, creamy, a bit "crunchy" from the toffee notes, rich, and not like me at all, but still good!!
Caramelized Pear - This fragrance begins with top notes of tart pears and granny smith apples. Then followed by middle notes of caramel and maple sugar and rounded out with base notes of buttercream and vanilla.
Butterfly Lane's Caramelized Pear
Cold Rating7.5/10
Lit Rating: 7/10
Throw Rating7/10
Overall Rating7/10; there's more of a pear note on cold sniff, but when this is melting, it's caramel city.
Butterfly Lane's Coffee Cake & Spice
Cold Rating6.5/10
Lit Rating: 8/10
Throw Rating7.5/10
Overall Rating7.5/10; there's not really any coffee in this scent, but it definitely smells like a sweet, spicy, lovely cake mixed with extra spiced. Loved this one, too, but on cold sniff, there was a bit of a waxy scent to it that was not there while warming.

Butterfly Lane's Country Bumpkin
Cold Rating7/10
Lit Rating: 7.5/10
Throw Rating7/10
Overall Rating7/10; I don't really remember this one, but I have in my notes that it was nice and overly fruity with slight cinnamon.
Homecoming - Rich vanilla sugar and warm cinnamon combined with baked apples, caramel and brown sugar.
Butterfly Lane's Homecoming
Cold Rating7/10
Lit Rating: 7/10
Throw Rating7/10
Overall Rating: 7/10
Mountain Cider - Mulled cider, cinnamon and cloves, with hints of wildberries.
Butterfly Lane's Mountain Cider
Cold Rating8.5/10
Lit Rating: 9/10
Throw Rating: 8.5/10
Overall Rating8.5/10; this lasted a really long time, all day and into the next one! LOVED this scent, if you're into really spicy apple scents, check out this tart!
Mulberry - Fresh picked fragrant mulberry.
Butterfly Lane's Mulberry
Cold Rating: 7.5/10
Lit Rating: 8/10
Throw Rating7.5/10
Overall Rating7.5/10; I had never tried a mulberry scent and I really enjoyed it! It was a little sweet and a little spicy and overall really lovely.
Pumpkin Apple Butter - Top notes of apple and pumpkin blended with cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and warm vanilla.
Butterfly Lane's Pumpkin Apple Butter
Cold Rating6.5/10
Lit Rating: 6.5/10
Throw Rating6.5/10
Overall Rating6.5/10; something about this had a strange undertone to my nose, but I have another tart, so I will see if I smell it when melting it again. Nice combination of pumpkin and apple, though!
Pumpkin Cupcake - Spiced pumpkin, cake and buttercream frosting.
Butterfly Lane's Pumpkin Cupcake
Cold Rating6.5/10
Lit Rating: 7.5/10
Throw Rating: 7.5/10
Overall Rating7.5/10; a real surprise since I'm not the biggest bakery fan. Creamy and delicious with slight spiced notes, what's not to love?!
(No scent description available, but this is a dupe for Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath & Body Works)
Butterfly Lane's Warm Vanilla Sugar
Cold Rating7/10
Lit Rating: 7/10
Throw Rating6/10
Overall Rating7/10; also not really fall-ish, but again, it's my post.  :P  Since this is a dupe, it's pretty much just like its perfume counterpart, but I still like the scent overall!

Do you like these massively large posts with ratings? Do you prefer them with or without my thoughts? Please let me know!

  1. I love these! And with your thoughts <3 buttercream crunch is my favorite butterfly lane scent so far. I dig it's simplicity. Mulberry is going on my wish list.

  2. Long or short, I prefer posts with your thoughts and the scent descriptions. I don't even really look at the numbers because I'm more interested in things like "the such-n-such note was there but I didn't notice the blah-blah much."

Some yummy sounding ones in this bunch!

    1. Thank you for your feedback! It always feels so bare just putting a number, but I really have a huge backlog of things to post on here! I will definitely add little blurbs from now on! :)
