Subscription Box Corner: September 2015's Love With Food Review!

Hi all! 2 posts in one day?! I am on a roll! Here are my thoughts on the September Love with Food subscription box! It's a good one!
The box.
The inside first look.
Booklet inside the box.
Funley's Cheddar N' Stuff flavored Super Crackers boast a cheez-it type of cheddar cracker supposedly filled with superfoods, in this case, broccoli. Now, if you think these are chock full of the stuff, guess again: broccoli is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down towards the end of the ingredient list. Why even put broccoli on the front of your package? Their entire branding is based on broccoli being part of the cracker and it barely has any in it. It seems very misleading, especially since these are obviously geared towards kids. The taste, a bit stale, sort of crunchy, but mostly weird. The broccoli is noticeable, but it's mostly just a worse cheez-it. 2.5/5.
While the JimmyBar! sounded like an excellent product, unfortunately, it got thrown away on accident. :(
I had received a Bear Naked granola in a box a few months ago in the flavor curry coconut vomitness. The sea salt caramel apple variety is much better because of the apple and hard caramel pieces, but the granola itself is still pretty stale tasting. 3.5/5.
Snack Factory's Pretzel Crisps gluten free minis in the original flavor were so, so good! I would totally buy these. They have a great, hefty crunch and a delicious, popping mouth feel. Wonderful, would love to try these in another variety! 5/5.
Smarty Pants gummy vitamins were just that, gummy vitamins. Sweet but still rich in their vitaminy goodness. I wish these had been sour. Good gummy texture. 4/5.
It seems like in every Love with Food box I have received, there has been at least one type of fruit snack item. YumEarth's organic fruit snacks were good, more like jelly drops than fruit snacks, and the banana on needed to GTFO, gross. Still, these were good, but rather boring. 3.5/5.
Mrs. Thinsters chocolate chip cookie thinsters were delicious! Sweet, crunchy, not too filling, perfect for a small dessert or snack. The flavor was out of this world good and the crispiness of the thin cookies made me want more. We loved these! 5/5.
I looooooooooooooove Snapea crisps! They are so delectable and crunchy with a surprisngly good flavor. YUM. I have had these before, have purchased them multiple times, and will continue to do so. A bit greasy, though I would like to try the other flavors to see how they taste. 5/5.
Love with Food also sent along this big bag from Schoola where you can donate clothing to help kids sell them online and $2 out of every $5 supports kids' programs! I love this idea!

So, this was a pretty great box with no real stinker products and some great, tried and true favs. What do you think of this subscription box, does it tickle your fancy?

  1. One thing I like about this subscription box is that these products can be bought in regular stores. I've seen many of these things at Walmart. So it's not like you have to order from high priced gourmet or indie vendor sites if you decide you want more of something.

Has there been anything yet that you've actually bought more of?
