Random Picture Post: Non-Waxy Photos From the Last Few Weeks #3!

Hello friends! How have you been, hopefully well! Shall I share how the last few weeks have been for me? Okay then! :)
Well, my sweet little guy is still in his cone. We had gone to the vet to have them take Freddo's stitches out, but when she started to remove them, the wound was still too open and deep to proceed. They sent us home with no further instructions. This Monday morning, we noticed there were HUGE holes where the stitches used to be, and they were bloody and gross. We took him back in to the vet, who told us we were supposed to be cleaning it....makes sense, right? Well, they had told us to not get it wet under any circumstances. Cleaning = soap + water + ointment, am I wrong? Needless to say, I was pissed. It made us look like we weren't taking care of him and neglecting him. If the vet had said "clean this out twice a day," WE WOULD HAVE DONE IT. Ugh. So this morning, we went back and they removed the other few stitches, but he has to keep the cone on while the holes are healing. :/
I saw this on a Facebook group and couldn't help but laugh and want to share it. ;)
Remember the tree I shared with you in this post, the one in our front yard? I went to take a photo of it for ufgatorbugg, only to realize all the flowers were gone! Vanished! Wilted! I found one lone flower lying in the dirt. Can you help me identify it?
This is OPI's You're Such a Budapest, with an accent nail featuring China Glaze's Liquid Crystal. I am getting better at doing my nails!
Ahhhhhh, the joys of glitter polish. If you don't know, it's a pain in the butt to remove off of your nails. Well, turns out, if you soak cotton balls in nail polish remover and then wrap them around your fingers individually for 5-10 minutes, then with pressure rub the nail through the foil, it removes glitter like a charm!
I also figured out how to make a hair bun! Well, I bought a hair donut, which makes it a bajillion times easier to use. Cool, huh!?
Carl's Jr. introduced a pop tart ice cream sandwich. Let me say that again: Pop. Tart. Ice. Cream. Sandwich. Unfortunately, it was disgusting. It's basically a pop tart cut in half with ice cream in the middle. Ick. Well, so much for experimentation!
One day, we were messing around with my camera. I told Josh to push the button to take a photo, but his arm got in the picture, LOL! ;)
Another glorious Southern California sunset!
I got this soap from Tiffany Candles a while back, it's in Blue Sugar Vanilla Sandalwood, and it's incredible. Tiffany makes amazing soaps! It smells divine.
Ok, I lied, this post does technically feature wax, but it's my blog! LOL! I didn't know where else to put this post. I got my first BeauxSavonsFrais haul a few months ago and have been sitting on this photo. It's just over-pours and random picks from the owner, but yeah, cool stuff.
Ok, I lied again. Here's another old waxy photo I've been sitting on for a while now...look at the rainbow of Tiffany's tarts! YEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Finally, we bought this video game for our Wii, Just Dance 3. We have been dancing our butts off for about a week now, 30 minutes a day. Because of my arthritis, I am unable to jump. I do what I can, but if I get tired, I sit down in a chair and I can still do all the movements. I used to dance allllllll the time before it got so bad. We might be terrible at it, but he and I made a rule that we can't laugh at each other's horrible dancing skills. :P

Any fun things you'd like to share? Have a fabulous weekend! :)

  1. Such cuteness in this post, I can't take it--freddo (sweet thing), your bun, your nails, the pic of you and your hubs ..etc etc!

....if beezy doesn't open soon, I'm gonna have a panic attack. I'm still on watch for us. Between the two of us, hopefully we won't miss it ;)

  4. It's a hibiscus! I have a hibiscus tat for my tramp stamp with a ladybug on it. Beautiful flowers. Come in tons of colors. So sorry about your pup. Frustrating when vets and docs do that. We need to know what to do! I love the photo of you and your man. Too cute! My hubs works from home and I was a SAHM for 5 years until recently and I miss him during the day so much. My girls too.

    1. Thanks for the help IDing the flower! I hope they grow back soon, but now that I know, maybe I can give it some extra TLC!

My poor pup, he will be okay, his wound is healing, but its frustrating watching him be in pain. He is walking by himself, now, doesn't need help walking outside and such!

Awwwww, I'm sure your hubby and kids miss you too! That's cool he works from home, though! :)
