Shannon, the owner of The Bathing Garden, recently had back surgery and closed her shop for quite a while. It seems like she has been adding stock regularly for the last week or so...
..not that I've been checking..
...every single day...
....multiple times a day....
I got 4 clamshells when I saw she had added stock. I know, I know, bad Lauren, BAD LAUREN. The other 3 (besides this one) are perfect...
...but I really don't like this one. I've found the first scent from The Bathing Garden I don't enjoy. The description for this scent is as follows: Top notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon, and apple; followed by middle notes of cinnamon, ginger, carrot, and nutmeg; sitting on base notes of butter cream and vanilla. A complex spicy scent with hints of sweet.
Maybe what I get is a combination of carrot, ginger, and cinnamon, but it's just not pleasant to my nose. I wish I could like this one, and on cold sniff it's fine, but while warming...it smells like warm and spicy carrots. Have you ever had that weird carrot/raisin/cinnamon salad you can make or get from some stores? That's this.
I'm probably the only person in the world who hates carrots. I'm not a damn rabbit! I DON'T EAT TWIGS!!~~!!!1 (I have a long-standing history against cereal that looks like twigs and rabbit food. It's inhumane). This one will not be a repurchase, but others may enjoy it. It's very spicy, though, so keep that in mind!

The Bathing Garden's Cinnamon Jingle
Cold Rating: 5.5/10; it's spicy, but you do get a hint of carrots or some weird fruity note, but I can't pick out what it is.
Lit Rating: 3/10; my nose does not agree with this at all. Hot carrots. Rabbits. Twigs. UGH.
Throw Rating: 5.5/10; filled up the whole house with lemon-marshmallow-fruit loopy goodness!
Overall Rating: 4.5/10; the first scent from TBG I do not like. Sadness. :(
Warm and spicy carrots??? Eeek! Not a good scent for a tart.
ReplyDeleteYEAH, it's super strange.....I don't know what I'm gonna do with the other 4 cubes! :O
DeleteSounds interesting to me! LOL
