SarahFace87's Round Robin: My First Round Robin Experience!

A YouTube user by the name of Sarah (sarahface87) contacted me and asked me if I wanted to be part of her Round Robin! After some (short) consideration, I decided to take part in the fun!

A Little Bit of Information
Here's what a Round Robin (RR) is, in case you're unfamiliar: basically, one person (in this case, Sarah) starts a box filled with all sorts of wax goodies. They ship it to the first person on the RR list who then inspects all of those goodies, takes out what they want from the items inside, and refills the box with their own wax! For example, let's say they took out 3 scents shots only; it is their obligation to put back in at least 3 scent shots in return (though there's no way to check if someone really put that amount back in, every person is just on the honor system). Most people feel very generous when doing RR boxes, so they replace what they took with way more wax than is necessary.

I had to restrain myself a little bit with what I took! There was SO MUCH stuff in the box! It was full to the tippy top when I got it. I received the package Saturday and shipped it off to the next person this afternoon.

What I Took
There it is in all it's glory. I'm really not sure how much people take on average, but I've seen videos on other RR boxes where people took a lot more than this, and some where they took a lot less than this. I want to let you all know I did replace item for item (IE: clamshell for clamshell, 4-pack for 4-pack, etc).
Another photo, minus the clamshell and the 4-pack.
These two are from Shayz Scents, the left being a single tart melt in Pink Nog, the right being a scent shot in Bedtime Snack.
-Pink Nog is really pink sugary, I almost get no nog whatsoever. Nog, to me, implies spice, like the drink. I got this because I think I'll enjoy it while it's warming.
--SIDEBAR-- How to we feel about nog? Do we like it? Hate it? What IS nog (minus the egg part)??
-Bedtime Snack is interesting as well...it's a weird mix of lavender/chamomile/sleepytime tea, honey, and some sort of bakery note. Very intriguing, might be a good nighttime scent.
Someone(s) included in this RR box does not like cranberry scents, which worked to my advantage since I love cranberry.
-First, we have Cranberry Bog from Granny's Kountry Candles. I thought about this one, put it back in, and then when I went to smell it again, the bottom of the cup shattered, so I took it...this is not to say it's bad, because it's not, I just had other stuff I was interested in getting! It's a very nice cranberry, almost like opening a bottle of juice and sniffing the contents.
-Next, Lime Crescents from GKC as well. This is straight-up sliced lime, no bakery, no fakeness. Very fresh and clean.
-Finally in this photo, we have Josh's pick: Iced Lemon Cookies from Haley's Heavenly Scents. He loves lemon, so we snatched this up right quick! It's very cookie with a hint of lemon, surprisingly.
-Another cranberry scents, this time from Pics, Petals & Scents,  a 2oz. scent shot in Spiced Cranberry. Very, very nice mix of the spice and berry. Love it, but it'll probably be one I need to cut in half since it smells strong (by the way, if you want a loaf of a scent, her (PP&S) prices are ridiculously low for loaves).
-Next, we've got a small slice of Huckleberry Harvest from Rosegirls, whose claim to fame are chunks (like Sniff My Tarts). This is a nice berry scent with maybe a hint of spice, not much else to say about it. Great one!
-Lastly in this photo, we've got Beezy Tarts' Mulled Cider. I've always claimed there are 2 types of apple, the first being bright and fresh, and the second being candied and artificial. Beezy has remarkably strong tarts, and this is a bright, realistic apple with mulling spices. Fantastic. There's one donut tart here.
-On the left, we've got Oatmeal, Milk & Honey from The Bathing Garden, a highly coveted item! I have not seen this stocked on Shannon's Etsy page ever, even though this looks like it's from Halloween...maybe it's form last year? Maybe I missed it. Anywho, this is FABULOUS; it's strong on cold sniff, and you get each note individually, as well as combined.
-Finally, we've got an Amish Friendship Bread 4-pack from Front Porch. I've never tried this scent but it's often regarded as a "fan favorite" across most vendors. It's a nice and sweet yet slightly spicy, fruity, caramelly bread scent. Marvelous!

ALSO! I completely forgot, I exchanged something I had for this (an even exchange)...I enjoyed this scent way more!
Wrapping Up
Overall, this was a very fun experience! There was tons of stuff in the box, and like I said above, I had to exercise great restraint!
Waiting for the box was exciting, seeing what other people took from the box was great, shipping it was a pain in the ass... and I should note: I had to up the box from a medium flat-rate box to a large flat-rate box, so it was a little bit expensive (about $15 shipping) but I knew it was coming. I don't know that I'd run out and do one every single week, but I'd be part of another one for sure! If you'd like to do one or know anyone who is involved, let me know! :)

Have you ever been part of a Round Robin? Would you ever try it out? See anything you've tried in my "haul"? :)

    1. It really was a lot of fun, and not much more expensive than a flat-rate box! We should do a blogger Round Robin sometime! :)

  2. Nice score - the Oatmeal Milk & Honey tart from TBG! Can't wait to read your review about that one!

I was wondering what scents were in Bedtime Snack! I was expecting Milk and Cookies or something so I was surprised when I received the tart. I like it though.

    1. Bedtime Snack was alluring...not yet bakery but not yet herbal but not yet sweet but with a perfumey note, you know?! I wonder if there might be some milky tones on there, though, every once in a while I take a whiff and it DOES smell a little bit sour!! (?) :)

  3. I'd love to do a Round Robin except I don't have much to offer except all the stuff I make :) I wonder if people would be interested in that. Oh I order from FP yesterday. I'm so excited.
